The first song I can remember loving and still to this day is my favorite song is She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. From as far back as I can remember, this is the only song I would say I have a love for.
The music platform that I like to use is Apple Music. I enjoy using Apple Music because it is more personal than some of the other platforms. Apple Music is for my interests only and I can choose to share my playlists I create but they are not open for the public to view.
When it comes to my music, I have a different playlist for every mood.
My study music.
The playlist I enjoy listening to while studying and doing homework is the Pop Chill playlist that Apple Music created. This playlist is constantly being updated with new songs that fit into the playlist. This playlist is good for studying because it is mellow music that also has a beat and motivational words to keep you working for a long time. Another playlist that I enjoy doing homework to is Apple Music’s Feeling Happy playlist. This playlist is more for homework than studying because it contains more upbeat pop songs than alternative songs. Using happier songs for homework tends to make the time pass by quicker than slower songs. Working to upbeat music often lightens my mood and makes me work faster than I would normally.
My driving music.
The two playlists that I have made and that I enjoy driving to are my Mellow Vibes and Beats playlists. When I drive, I like to get into my mindset and think about what is happening in the world around me. Making many 3 hour drives to and from school to my hometown gives me ample time to create playlists that are good for thinking. My Mellow Vibes playlist consists of 26 songs (currently) that rarely have more than 5 words. This playlist makes driving go by faster and thinking come easier. My Beats playlist consists of more upbeat music while still not having very many words in each song. This playlist is made up of 59 songs (currently) that are slightly more upbeat than the Mellow Vibes playlist.
My motivational music.
I have many different types of motivational playlists. When it comes to working out, I use the Victoria’s Secret Pumped Upplaylist. This playlist has many songs that are usually remixes of popular songs. The remixes are made to provide more of a steady beat used for working out. When I am feeling down, I use my own Feel Good playlist. This playlist consists of many “throwback” songs that I feel happy listening to because they came from good, fun times in my life. Another fun playlist that will lift your spirits is Apple Music’s Hip-Hop/R&B Throwbackplaylist. For all of you who remember a time when these songs were popular, you will love this playlist. The playlist consists of mainly 1990s and 2000s songs that were popular and fun (and still are).
My recommendations for you.
When it comes to creating your own playlist and finding your music, I suggest you turn on the Apple Music Radio feature. When you hear a song you like, think about how it makes you feel and the emotions that come from it. Then add it to a playlist you create with your different moods for different occasions in your life.
